The Thanksgiving holiday is truly a thing of beauty. This October 13th, we plan on taking full advantage of this fun and tasty tradition. Let’s face it…we all LOVE the food. In Canada, we produce approximately 5,000 metric tons of cranberries annually, mainly from Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. Bala, Ontario claims to be the Cranberry Capital of Canada and holds the iconic Cranberry Festival on October 17, 18 & 19. But did you know that to check the ripeness of a cranberry, all you need to do it throw it at the ground? As long as it bounces higher than four inches it is ready to be eaten!
