“April showers bring May flowers”, so the saying goes… but don’t let a few drops of rain get you down! Grab your brolly, don your wellies, and dance in the puddles to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring.
As you know, the month begins with All Fools’ Day or April Fool’s, a day for pranks, practical jokes and hoaxes. But don’t be fooled for long. By April, spring is in full swing – meaning not only a delightful new season filled with everything fresh, but also a time of important celebrations.
Take for example April 2nd, International Children’s Book Day. Since 1967, this day has been devoted to the love of books in honour of beloved children’s author Hans Christian Andersen. So whether you’re a kid, or simply a “kid at heart”, this is your chance to take a few hours to escape, and enjoy an enchanting child’s tale or two.
And let’s not forget Easter on April 8th… a time for feasting! Before you go hunting for chocolate treasures hidden by the Easter Bunny, we invite you to try this month’s healthy, delectable Crepe Delicious treat: a Spring Ham Crepe, complete with sweet glazed ham, pineapple, lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese to top it off!
